Rooted Land Company was founded with the goal of providing unique access to farming and nature through short-term rental of privately owned homes on our expansive farm property located in Madison, Virginia. Our farm is located within close proximity to Shenandoah National Park, local wineries & breweries, and natural settings that provide ample outdoor activities.

We believe every person is rooted in nature and it is vital to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and our busy lives. From our gardens, to our landscape, even our earth-friendly practices, everything is rooted in the earth. Book your trip today and return to your roots.
Stewards of Nature
We believe taking care of nature is the most important principle we have on the farm. We take every step possible to ensure the land is used responsibly and protected through conservation and sustainability efforts. We are currently engaged in an invasive tree and grass removal program with USDA and the Virginia Department of Forestry and a wildlife habitat restoration program.
Additionally, we partner with Friends of the Rappahannock, to offer a tree planting and sponsorship program. With your help, we will continue to add trees and native species to the farm, each tagged with a customized placard commemorating your contribution to nature. Come visit your tree over the years to see how much it has grown!
